Features of storing wine bottles
Wine requires certain storage conditions.
- Temperature 10 – 15 degrees C. This is the ideal temperature range, which allows for the drink to be served quickly. If you keep wine at a high temperature, it begins to age: the aroma loses its former subtlety and sophistication. At a low temperature, the drink stops maturing, and the oxidation process begins.
- The optimal humidity is 60%, the cork will not dry out and the bottle will not lose its tightness.
It is quite easy to make such a stand with your own hands. - The drink does not like direct sunlight. Exposure of the bottle to light will inevitably cause the product to spoil. It is necessary to organize a darkened corner for storage.
- Storage position – horizontal. This condition only applies to bottles sealed with corks made of natural raw materials, so that they do not dry out. For synthetic corks, the position of the bottle is not essential.
- No constant transportation, no vibration. Wine needs rest, only then will it mature properly.
It can be used not only in an apartment, but also for a wine cellar.
Bottle stand made from newspaper tubes
Paper is the material for an original stand for any type of wine. This is a budget option, for the design of which you will need: newspapers, a ruler, a knife, paints, cardboard, skewers for mini shashlik, PVA.
The first stage of work on making a stand for storing wine involves winding pieces of newspaper pages onto skewers. The edge of the stick should come out with a bevel. The next step: the blanks are laid out in a row. Make sure that they fit tightly to each other. Evenly distribute the PVA glue, the device should be fixed as well as possible.
After the product is completely dry, cut out a polygon: 30 X 30 X 33 X 16. Glue the edges and fix them with a folding clamp on both sides. When the structure is dry, cut out a circle the size of which will correspond to the bottom of the glued product. After fixing the bottom, the final stage of work: varnishing. Apply it in at least two layers and let it dry.
Wine Bottle Stand Made From Tin Cans
A great option for a wine bottle stand material is a tin can. Any tin cans from peas, beans or corn will do.
Materials required:
- glue;
- spray paint;
- textile;
- can opener;
- cardboard;
- jars 8-12 pcs.
Remove labels from the jars: soak them in warm water first, this will make it easier to remove the paper from the surface. Leave the clean jars to dry. Cut out the bottom of the jar, and the sharp edges should be carefully processed by bending them inward.
The process of applying paint
- Place the jar on a stand and apply paint to the inside.
- Turn the can over and apply paint to the other side.
- Wait until the product is completely dry.
- Proceed to painting the outer edges.
- Let the work dry.
Assemble the structure. Determine how many jars you will have in the first row and apply superglue between them. Secure the work with clothespins. Glue the additional planned number of jars on top, secure and let dry.
DIY Cardboard Wine Bottle Rack
Materials for work:
- scissors;
- two cylinders of thick paper with an axial hole (you can use a paper towel roll);
- felt;
- scotch;
- hot gun;
- glue;
- ruler.
Cut the cylinder with a stationery knife, find the middle and straighten it. Do the same with the second cylinder. Glue the two cut cylinders together to get four cells. Cover all the edges of the wine stand with tape, it is better to take plumbing tape. Using a hot glue gun, cover the work with felt. Press the fabric well to the surface, and cut off the excess pieces.
Balancing stand
An original tabletop stand for a bottle of wine that creates a weightless effect. To create such a thing, you will need a 20 mm wooden beam.
The length of the wooden trim should be 350 mm, and the width – 75 mm. One side of the beam, which will be located on the table, is cut at an angle of 60 degrees. The second is rounded. Stepping back 80 mm from the rounded side, a circle with a diameter of 35 mm is cut out.
Elegant stand on hinges
Materials required:
- plywood sheet 26 x 38 – 2 pcs.
- loops – 2 pcs.
- cord
- drill
- ruler, pencil
- sanding paper.
Measure the location of the circles on the plywood. In total, there should be twelve of them, six on each sheet. Sand the edges of the circles with sandpaper. The workpiece can be varnished or painted in the desired color. Connect the sheets with hinges. In order for the wine bottle stand to stand firmly on the surface, drill holes in the bottom of the plywood for the laces that will secure the structure.
Made from plywood and leather strips
Stands with leather materials look very unusual and elegant. For this model you will need two plywoods: 50 by 50 cm. One, as a base, the product will stand on it, and on the second, bushings will be fixed, about 45-50 cm long each.
Leather strips 2-3 cm wide are fixed on two bushings, located parallel to each other at a distance of 15 cm.

Metal stands can be ordered from a craftsman. Products made of metal material have a number of advantages:
- solid appearance;

To create this model of a wine bottle stand with your own hands, you need a bar with the following parameters: length - 232 cm, width - 48 mm, thickness - 70 mm. A hole with a diameter of 35 mm is cut out on the upper edge. The bevel of the base of the corner should be equal to 125 degrees on the inside, and 43 on the outside.
