DIY Newspaper Tube Pencil and Pen Holder
This technology has appeared relatively recently, but has already gained popularity. Necessary tools and materials:
- newspapers;
- glue;
- scissors;
- cardboard;
- varnish or paint (optional).
The first, most basic, is as follows: a sheet of newspaper or magazine is wound diagonally onto a knitting needle. The edge is coated with glue and pressed to secure it. If you make such tubes from sheets of a glossy magazine, you don’t have to paint them later – you’ll get a cheerful variety of colors.
Then the resulting “semi-finished product” is glued to a base (a cardboard cup, a juice box) and, if desired, covered with paint or varnish.
A more interesting option for creating sculptures from newspaper tubes is weaving.
The base of the pencil holder can be made of cardboard, or it can be woven like the bottom of a basket. Of course, it will take time to make an interesting model. But even a beginner can make a simple cup.
The finished stand is coated with PVC glue. And then, if desired, painted.
The technology is very economical.
Pencil holder made of paper
Paper towel or toilet paper rolls are used as a base. After measuring the roll diameter and its height, we cut colored paper for decoration.
Then glue the parts together in a random order and attach them to the base. It is better to use a sheet of thick cardboard for the base.
Phone Book Pencil and Pen Holder
You will need:
- directory;
- sharp scissors;
- glue;
- paints;
- paper towel roll.
The reference book needs to be cut out, the pages wrapped around the core and the form secured with a paper holder.
Do this with all the pages. Then glue them to keep the shape.
Make a bottom (from cardboard or plastic) in the shape of the resulting flower and glue it. If desired, the stand can be painted.
DIY Gold Pencil Holder
To create such a masterpiece you will need:
- metal jars or cases of different sizes (plastic containers or pipe cuttings will also work);
- glue;
- base (board or metal plate).
- "golden" paint.
The containers are placed on the base in random order, glued, and then the entire structure is covered with “golden” paint.
Pencil and pen holder made from a tin can
It turns out that you can make a very original thing from a tin can, a piece of fabric and glue. The technology is simple.
First, we take measurements from the can. We are interested in the circumference and height.
Then we sew a fabric cover. We decorate it with braid.
We place the jar inside the cover, and tuck the edges of the fabric inside and secure with glue.
And this is what we get as a result.
DIY Tumbler Pencil Holder
A tumbler pencil holder is made from a tin can of a drink. To do this, use sandpaper to scrape off the paint from the can. Then melt the lead (about 80 g) and pour it into the bottom of the can from the outside. When the metal hardens, it is carefully removed and glued to the bottom with the convex side outward. Then the can is covered with paint and used for pencils.
Pencil and pen holder made of threads
A DIY pen stand made from a tin can, threads, decorative elements and imagination. An ordinary can is covered with a layer of glue and wrapped with threads (either one color or multi-colored).
Then the product is decorated with buttons. This is the most budget option, since extra buttons can be found in every home.
Another option. For work you will need multi-colored threads, it is better if they are not very thin. And also ice cream sticks and a cardboard or plastic cup.
We cut the glass so that the height from the bottom is 3-5 cm. Then we glue sticks to it along the entire circumference, and we pass multi-colored threads around the sticks.
Cork wood discs
Several wooden disks are glued together and holes are drilled in them. Perhaps, creating this model will require minimal effort. And it looks very stylish.
High-tech style stand
Old floppy disks (5 pieces) are connected to each other using plastic fasteners in the shape of a cube.
Cardboard tube
Paper towel and toilet paper rolls are wrapped in different colored paper or painted and placed inside the box in random order.
Burlap case
The technology is similar to the creation of a stand from threads. Only the jar is decorated with a strip of burlap and decorative braid.
Stand made of timber
Making a pen stand from a wooden block is easy: you need to drill holes of the right size and quantity in the workpiece.
Pencil holder made from sewer pipes
The remains of pipes of different diameters are cut at an angle to the required size. This is done with a sharp knife so that there are no nicks. If necessary, the cuts can be carefully processed with fine sandpaper.
The parts are glued together and the bottom is glued on.
The finished stand can be painted or coated with clear varnish for shine.
The most ordinary workplace can be made unique with the help of a stand for office supplies made with your own hands. It will be not only a creative, but also a very convenient thing.
