In construction organizations and on shift sites, the problem of equipping the team with furniture for rest arises. Beds for workers are first on the list of models, since employees need to get a good night's sleep to be productive.
Those responsible for purchasing furniture should not only equip the resting place, but also, if possible, rationally manage the organization's budget. Metal beds with one or two tiers are often cheaper - the price depends on the manufacturer and the presence of intermediaries.

Types of beds for workers
Manufacturers produce different options for equipping employee rest areas (dormitories, construction sites, utility rooms). Beds are divided into the following types by design:
- single-tier;
- two-tiered.
This furniture is close to military and is often found in student dormitories. Cheap metal beds are necessary to save the budget, but they are quite comfortable.
The sleeping area can be equipped with:
- armor mesh;
- lamellas (less common).
The beds are made of metal profiles and pipes (frame and backs). The assembly of such furniture is very simple, so the models are easy to transport to the desired location.
Beds for workers are manufactured according to GOST standards and comply with SanPiN provisions.
Models, regardless of type – single- or double-tier – have a bolted or wedge connection.
single-tier; double-tier
As a rule, metal beds are made of stainless alloys or coated with anti-corrosion compounds, which significantly increase their service life.
How to choose the right beds for workers
Despite the simplicity of the design, they can be of poor quality. Therefore, when choosing a bed, they are checked for certificates from the manufacturer. The following are tested:
- strength of fastenings;
- grid reliability;
- stability in assembled position.
Metal beds must withstand certain loads, both single- and double-tier furniture. At the same time, many designs can be quite light – one person can handle the assembly.
It is better to choose beds with thick supports and backs, with powder coating. Usually the bottom layer is primed, then the paint lies evenly and has no chips or cracks.
Often, at the initiative of the manufacturer, metal beds are equipped with bedding - this option can also be more profitable for a potential buyer.
