A child spends quite a lot of time in a kindergarten. Therefore, equipping a preschool institution with bedroom furniture is one of the most important tasks when arranging a room.
As a rule, beds for kindergartens are purchased in bulk or ordered from a regular supplier. When choosing, they focus not only on the price, but mainly on the durability and environmental friendliness of the models. And, of course, they should be comfortable for the kids.
A bed for a kindergarten can be either single-tier, double-tier or even triple-tier, but the choice of such furniture should be careful.

Durable plastic is also sometimes used to produce beds for kindergartens, but it is not recommended to install it in rooms with central heating batteries due to possible toxicity when heated.
Furniture intended for kindergartens has a long list of selection criteria, the main one being safety. This concept includes both the quality of materials and the safety of the structure.
Depending on the type of bottom, the bed can be produced:
- with slats;
- sleeping area made of plywood.
Advantages and disadvantages of beds for kindergarten
Choosing furniture for children is a responsible task. All parameters - from the material to the design features are specified in SanPiN. The manufacturer must provide documents for beds for kindergartens during centralized purchases. The legislation is strict in this regard.
For kindergartens, single-tier structures are chosen. If there are more tiers, then the problem of the model's stability arises. The strength must be checked during installation - the conclusion must be given by the head of the preschool institution's economy.
The disadvantages of furniture include artificial materials used in production, coating that does not meet standards, as well as defects that are discovered during assembly of the structure.
A baby cot should not be high. If it is higher than the standard, it must be equipped with sides, otherwise the child may fall.
If the bed is a bunk bed, then the upper berth must also be limited by side panels or, as in long-distance trains, by a special retaining structure.
How to choose the right beds for a kindergarten? From the furniture on offer, it is worth giving preference to models made of wood or laminated chipboard, with a standard height, slats and sides (for children up to 5 years old).
The bed must be of standard dimensions. It is advisable to purchase only new furniture for the kindergarten.
