It's nice to rest on clean, fresh bedding, but what's underneath is just as important. We'll talk about how to clean a mattress at home.
The easiest thing to do when the mattress gets dirty is to replace it with a new one. Hygienists advise replacing it after 7-10 years. You can take it to a dry cleaner, but it is convenient to clean the mattress from stains with available means at home quickly and effectively.
We not only sleep and sit on the bed, but sometimes we eat, children tumble on it, cats and dogs bask on it. The longer we use it, the more dust, stains, and smells there are.
Allergists recommend getting rid of dust and dust mites using a vacuum cleaner with special filters or a washing one, and if you don’t have one, wet a sheet, wring it out well, spread it over the entire sleeping surface of the mattress and beat out the dust (even an old tennis racket will do).
