How to sew an owl pillow with your own hands?
For this work you will need:
- two types of material;
- scissors, needle and thread;
- filler;
- black buttons to make pupils;
- felt to make eyes.
The owl pillow toy will appeal to the child, you can sleep with it. A simple pattern is made of any shape with transfer to paper or newspaper. You can print a ready-made version from the Internet. The dimensions are determined taking into account your own preferences. In most cases, it does not exceed forty to fifty centimeters. The owl's body consists of two parts. Eyes - 2 pieces, one beak. Two wings are made in mirror image. Take into account seam allowances.
The next step is to apply the pattern to the fabric, then cut it out. Sew on the beak, then the wings, eyes. Attach the buttons - pupils. To make them expressive, you can use leatherette for the eyelashes. Wool and yarn will also work.
Next, fold the owl shape with the right side inward and sew it. Leave an opening at the bottom. Turn the product right side out. Then fill the inside with a suitable material and stitch it. Cut out the legs. They can be flat or have a voluminous structure. In the case of convex parts, the technology is similar. First, fasten the halves together, leaving an armhole at the top. Fill the space from the inside with artificial filler and sew it up.

Turn the product inside out, fill with filler. You can use swan's down, artificial materials. First, tightly fill the owl's ears, then the body. At the end, sew up the left place.
An interesting option would be a pillowcase with an owl applique. It can be sewn in a rectangular or square shape. To do this, buy three pieces of fabric. The first one will be needed for the front side, the second one for the back, it should be five centimeters longer than the first one. Divide it into two halves of equal size.
The prepared pattern is transferred to the fabric, then cut out. All the details are duplicated, stitched from the wrong side. Then turn them inside out, sew them to the pillowcase template.

To prepare the pocket, fold both sides inward. Make a straight line along the long edge. Turn inside out, stitch with a decorative stitch. Place the owl's body on the work surface with the wrong side down, attach the pocket.
