Making a blanket
The ideal proportions of the blanket are: 120 cm wide and 180 cm high. But you can change the dimensions if you wish.
First, knit 20 air loops and measure them with a ruler, then divide the width of the product (120 cm) by this number. Round the answer up and multiply by 20 (the length of one zigzag). In the end, you will get the number of air loops in the first row.
Otherwise, it can be written as a formula.
- 20 air sts = X cm;
- Desired width / X cm = Y;
- Y * 20 = number of air p. v.
Having made the necessary calculations, we knit the first row. Personally, for me it is 180 air loops.
1 row:
180 air p.
2nd row:
step 1: 3 air p. lifts,
step 2: 7 tbsp, 3 tbsp together in one go,
step 3: 7 dc, 3 dc in one loop, etc.
Repeat steps two and three until you finish the row, then turn the piece over.
The second, third and subsequent rows look absolutely identical. Continue crocheting until the blanket reaches the desired length.

After a little practice, try making an openwork blanket. In the second row, between the double crochets, knit one ch. p. This type of knitting is typical for a baby blanket. I advise you to try a larger diameter hook, so the product will be lighter and airier.
Attach tassels along the edges. To do this, cut the remaining thread into 30 cm pieces, gather it in half and sew it along the edges of the zigzags.
Care of knitted items
Knitted items require special care. They should be washed by hand in warm water not exceeding 40 degrees. The powder should be dissolved in a basin, otherwise the yarn may change color. It is forbidden to wring out the product, instead lay it out on a flat, hard surface. Do not dry it near the battery. It is recommended to use steam instead of an iron to avoid deformation.
